Springs should be easy to get. I may have some. I took mine out and cleaned
them and took off the rust (there shouldn't be any if the owner kept grease
in there), but it seems that I got some from somewhere, in case I needed to
replace some.

How's that for a statement. I might have some somewhere, I have no idea
where, but if I find them, you can have them. Hold your breath.

He did respond. From his comments it sounds like all he needs is a set of
springs for the beam he has. He thinks PO lowered the bus by removing
tosion sping leaves. If so the easiest fix, and cheapest, is to simply
replace the spings. Which means he only needs a set of spings. Anyone out
there got an old no account beam which you are willing to pull the springs
out of. It's a whole lot easier to replace a set of springs than to remove
and replace an entire beam. And cheaper too.

I don't. Have one complete beam except that it already had the springs
removed and two others that I am not willing to pull the springs from.

I have 2 or 3, have sent him an e-mail and he has not responded. Yep, all
bus beams post barndoor will interchange, don't know about barndoor, brakes
are different 64 and later but the beam is the same.

Thanks! There's a '66 beam on the www.dlkweb.org <http://www.dlkweb.org/>
site too... Would that swap in?

There is one somewhere in Austin. I donated it during the VW Harvest show as
I was tired of looking at it. Gary might know who it was who was next to him
at the show.
