 John:

I know I'm going to get some flak from Dan on this but, the only one I have
had any luck with is Herr Schmidt's on Richmond Ave, in Houston. He's not cheap
and he's not fast but he knows Vanagons. Most of the rest of the shops only do
air coolers but, not watercooled Vanagons and, Volkswagen is little or no help,
whatsoever.

Subject: [tcb] Vanagon repair shop in Texas

I was at the VW show in Fredrickberg a month again. I have the 1990 maroon
vanagon. I still have not had any offers to buy my vanagon and to be honest not
sure I really want to sell her. Which is part of the problem. So the question I
have for everybody is. Does anybody reccomend a good VW shop in Texas?
Something like GoWesty? I would love to drive it out to CA and give it to
GoWesty for a week to fix all the little things but that is a long drive with
my very busy schedule. The main things I need fixed are the rust spots and the
A/C. I just worry about taking it to just any old shop to have her worked on. I
would love to find a shop that would let me help work on her so that I can
learn something and get the job done correctly.

 Thanks,
