Sammie,

I'm a little late to the party on this but...GO!

Before Todd and I had our two children, we were lucky enough to be able to take about 3.5 months to drive around the country in our '62 standard bus.  It wasn't even a camper.  Todd and his dad built a platform for our full size mattress and we stored everything in tubs underneath.

We hit 38 states and part of Canada.  It was the best trip ever, even though we had a few breakdowns along the way.  (Fargo is not our favorite part of the country)

Anyhow, GO!  You may not have the opportunity to do it later.  Someday, Todd and I will do some more exploring.  I just hope I can convince him to do some of it in a bus.  Honestly, when you are driving a bus, people are more friendly to you.  They all want to talk to you about it and the bus their dad had when they were little.  It makes people smile. Especially once you hit the East coast.  We had a few people almost go off the side of the road staring at us!

Go.  And have a wonderful trip.  We're jealous.
