[tcb] Trip Report: PsycoBilly2...I know it took me a while!

Ronnie,Trey,Mark,Emily,Dan,and I met up at the gas station across from The Home
Depot on 45N at 4:30AM.
Yes it was 4:30AM and I wasn't awake yet. I think Dan was, he was driving ok.
We all took off in our VW's and
headed to Arkansas. We drove up 45N to 19, all the way to Cooper Texas. We met
up with Shirley in Cooper at
10AM. Dan talked to Paul and he was close to Cooper, so we waited for a little
while for him to show up. Then
we also talked to Steve & Sharon, we agreed to meet up with them. So we met up
with Paul & Joe right outside
of Hugo. There was a parking lot and a picnic table we just had lunch there.
Then Steve & Sharon showed up,
Steve was really tired from working 24 hours straight the day before. He just
left from work and started driving
up to Arkansas. Everything was just going just as planned, until...Steve's bus
just shut down. Damb electrical
short, he bypassed the wire and hotwired it. Dan saved the day with his
homemade wire alligator clamp thingy.
It was getting really hot by this time, all of us were just melting away. But
hey some of us had umbrellas that
saved the day. You know what all Volkswagens break down from time to time, so
our trip to Arkansas was still
lots of fun. It was a very long hot trip, but I enjoyed every minute that I got
to spend with such great
Volkswagen people.
Right when we were getting ready to get on 412, there was Neil and Liz. That
was so cool to just get into
Springdale, and there was a blue Volkswagen bus waiting at the same light in
front of us!
We arrived at Denis' at 7PM. Took us 15 hours. Denis was glad to see all of us
make it. We asked Denis if he has
heard from Jerry,Mike,and Steve. He said they would be there by 12AM or 1AM. I
love it when a plan comes
together. Dan immediately put the A/C in the bus. We all chatted,laughed, and
drank a little. Liz your the best,
thanks for the good beer. Jan & I got in the hottub naked. Dan & I crashed
about 11PM, tired oooh so tired.
When we woke up and saw Steve,wife,kid,Mike, and Jerry made it there.
PsycoBilly 2 has officially started as of
now! Denis made everyone breakfast, thanks Denis it was delicious, your a
wonderful cook. After breakfast
Neil,Liz,Dan, and I went to the grocery store to get stuff for lunch and dinner
later that night. Then we all ate
lunch. I drank some more beer and chatted with Liz and Neil a lot. Mark took a
nap, Dan took a nap, Denis took
a nap, and Mike took a nap. Mike was snoring so we just video taped him with
Neil's camcorder. Neil we all
need copies of the party, I bet that's some funny shit. All of a sudden Sammy
showed up with his crew. He only
stayed a few minutes then went to Eureka. Jan showed up about 4pm, then the
party started, we put out party
favors for everyone. Chuck & Sue prepared the food then we had dinner. Dan was
the DJ, he played some good
tunes. He also played a comedy tape by Cletus, Steve really liked that, he was
laughing his ass off. Then
fireworks started and they were spectacular, thanks CHUCK! GO CHUCK GO CHUCK GO
CHUCK! Steve was the
only one who got burnt by a firework...A sparkler!!!
Shirley, Brian, and his friend showed up and told me Thor was up the road. Dan
& I got him back to Denis'
house and put him in the garage. DOGS DO NOT LIKE FIREWORKS! We all watched
fireworks and drank from our
glow-in the-dark cups. Denis has a projector, so some of us watched part of a
movie. I LOVED IT! What a great
party. Do you want more details?
Denis & Jan thanks for the food, fireworks, and letting us party at your house.
I could not tell you how much of
a friend yall have been to us, there's no words!
