Friday: We (Dan & I ,and Ronnie) left Houston about 2:00pm. The trip up there was really nice, great weather for traveling. We made it to the Benbrook-Holiday campground at 7:30pm. Steve & Sharon, Larry, Terry & Teresa, and 4 Turkish gentlemen was at the campground waiting for us to arrive. Steve & Sharon had potatoes on the grill and some huge steaks were about to go on the grill. That was by far the best welcoming crew I have ever had. Then Steve put on some huge salmon and huge shrimp for all of us to eat. Thanks Halliburton for buying our dinner once again! We ate, then everyone left and Ronnie turned on some tunes, then we went to bed at 10:30pm. Saturday: Got up about 6:30am and we all took showers then went to go meet up with Larry & Terry for breakfast. We went to a mexican restuarant for breakfast, it was really good. They had the best pancakes ever! Thanks Terry for paying. Thanks Larry for leaving a tip. So we all drove to the show after breakfast. There was a bunch of Volkswagens at the show in Fort Worth, like 130, maybe 150. I wondered why Dan & I had never been to that show in Fort Worth, but then I remembered that you can't have pets there, says it right on the flyer NO PETS ALLOWED. There was 3 dogs there at the show,NO PETS ALLOWED? Three Dallas Air Coolers showed up, Jerry, Steve & kid, and Steve's brother David. Lots of Texas Airheads attended and some TCB members attended also. Ronnie got the best camper award. Joe Smith got a 3rd place award. Terry & Teresa, Steve & Sharon, Denis & Claudia all offered for us to stay with them on Saturday night, thanks for the offer ya'll. Instead Dan & I stayed with Jerry. I know what was we thinking??? Just joking we had a great time with Jerry,Kyle,Daniel & his girlfriend. We had pizza from Mr.Jim's, it was great! Jerry called Kyle to see if he wanted to come over to his house. That was at 8pm and Kyle did ask if we wanted to come over to his house and drink some Margarita's. So Kyle,Daniel & his girlfirend showed up at 10:30pm. The reason Kyle was so late was because he was in a Margarita time warp. When Kyle, Daniel, and his girlfriend got there , they asked if we wanted some takillia. No takillia. Dan & I don't really like takillia. Usually when we think takillia is ok to drink we also know we are wasted and should stop drinking right then but we usually don't so... That stuff will make you really sick too. Then Kyle told us this story, I guess it could be true: keep in mind Kyle is married so he tells us she will just be jealous because she didn't get to watch. Ya right. So they drink some Margarita's with some pretty ladies and then paint their butts yes with paint, then they put their butts on Kyle's garage door. Kyle said he still had the paint on his butt. Ya it was a much better story when Kyle was telling it, he was of course drunk on takillia at the time too. So then we listened to Jerry's new CD player and also watched a AC/DC DVD. Then at midnight Dan & I went to bed. Kyle,Daniel, his girlfriend, and Jerry went to bed about 30 minutes after we did. Thanks Jerry for letting us stay in your driveway! Sunday: Dan & I got up at 6:45am and got into the bus and went to Houston. We stopped to get some Whataburger for breakfast. Then we stopped in Fairfield (Cooper Farms)to get some vegetables and fruit. We got home at 12pm. We were tired so we showered, ate, and then took a two hour nap. We had a great time everyone, thanks.
