Just now seeing this post.
Sounds like a bummed battery, but checking whatever might be common to those symptoms would be,
in order:
the ground wire as a first check,
the hot wire as a second check,
then the battery.

The relay hot start really helps in starting when the battery is on the down side of it's life.
see below.

The installation of a hot start does nothing to cure your other symptoms which sound like low/bad battery showing it's demise when subjected to higher current loads. 10.5 volts battery reading is too low.

12V SPDT 30 AMP AUTOMOTIVE RELAY
CAT# RLY-351 ........... $2.40

SOCKET FOR AUTOMOTIVE RELAY
CAT# SRLY-2 .......... $1.50

I'm all for leaving Friday sometime but I just jumped in it and the bus would not start....

Last week it did the same thing when I jumped in it to go the anti-meeting Friday night, I got under it and hit the solenoid as well as the starter and even turned the engine by hand with a socket and it finally turned over and started.

I measure the volts at the battery just now and they are 10.5 volts. ...a little low but:

 Synptons:

Radio works, head lights work. Turn the key and nothing (no sound) ...... I notice that when I turn the radio on and then I then the head lights on, the radio stops....turn lights over the radio comes on but still no sounds (like the engine trying to turn over)

Got any electrical gurus out there?

Bob, if you see this post call me please....

Trey

Looks like Emily and I will be able to get off work at noon on Friday, 22nd. Do the people from Houston want to cruize together???

If Katrina and I can get a friday off, we will most likely head up thursday (9/21) after work.
The worst case would be a friday at noon departure.
I think it is about a six hour drive.
Straight out 290 to 6 and up to Glen Rose.
Who else is going?
Mark I know ya'll are going, get friday off?
Trey when can you go?
Eric, ya'll are not going?
Ronnie?
Jack?
Joe?
Anyone else?
