No, that would have been the old "master's inn" which they tore down.  I stayed 
there in 2004 and it was a zoo
for the entire night.  There's a Comfort Inn at the same exit as the Microtel 
as well.

It's definitely a nice trip, I suggest the I20/Jackson Miss, 
Hattiesburg/Mobile, I10 route.
It's a long two days of driving.  Bring your spare parts and allow enough time 
to stop at the USS Alabama for a visit.
