R.L. "Larry" Parrott 
(May 2, 1945 - March 5, 2010) 


R.L. (Larry) Parrott, 64, passed away Friday afternoon, March 5, 2010 in
Fort Worth. He was born May 2, 1945 in Martin, Tennessee. He retired as a
field auditor for Foot Locker following 30 years as a retail sales manager
and manager trainer for the Kinney Shoe Corporation. An avid car enthusiast,
he was a long time member and former president of the Fort Worth VolksFolks
Volkswagen Club. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sami
Parrott-Pfannenstiel. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Parrott of Fort
Worth, mother, Joicey Parrott, and brother and sister-in-law, Randal and
Marsha Parrott, of Willis, Texas, son, Kevin Carney of Collinsville,
daughter and son-in-law, Jenifer and James Porter, of Rowlett, Texas, son
and daughter-in-law, Michael and Carrie Carney, of New Orleans, daughter,
Kristy Parrott, of New Orleans, and son-in-law, Ryan Pfannenstiel of Fort
Worth, 8 grandchildren and 2 1/2 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be
Gage Davis, Chris Carney, Carey Parrott, Zack Parrott, James Porter, and
Ryan Pfannenstiel. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010
at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Ricky Patterson
officiating. Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery.
