3M's 8088 has been highly recommended by many, myself included. Well, I just redid a door panel using vinyl and it worked, eh, okay. Not great, though. So with a little research here is what I found out: 8088 is for carpets and fabric. 8090 is for vinyl and plastic trim, including headliners and engine foam. And 8008 is for rubber window and door molding. All are 3M products. There's the poop, er, scoop on glue.
