I have, twice! First time before it ever got off the jackstands, second time I went 140 miles before it locked up. Turned out the dowel hole was just slightly ovaled out. Had one of those "step" dowels, or oversize dowels, whatever they're called put in, no more problem. Is your bearing chewed up around the dowel hole?
