I think they have around 300 entries. 300 x $25 = $7,500. Add in what they get from concessions, swap meeters, vendors, T-shirts, etc. and they can afford to rent a bigger place and more people. ----- Original Message ----- From: Will Wood To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, November 19, 2007 3:19 PM Subject: [tcb] Re: OK OK The Kupkake Chronicles Well, putting on a shin dig (sp?) of that size is always difficult. It was packed to the walls in 04 which is the only year I've attended. The people were friendly but it could be a case of Eureka II starting up. Some of these things get too popular and the folks putting it on may have distinct growing pains. One day, I'm sure, the TXC will have about 200 more entries than planned show up. That's not because of bad planning but because of a good time. I read the story and I see how it can get out of hand. Old Hippy, firey red heads, money involved.. Clearly the gate folks came from the Leona Helmsley school of charm. Florida folks are just not used to dealing with middle coasters.. ;-)
