I saw 2 on The Samba that were being sold for 100-125k. It's shocking how much
the Bays go for compared to the measly $500 I paid

It's the swing axle vs the IRS I think. Actually my '77 drives tons better than
my '72 or my '73. It drives like a boat and the turning radius of the steering
is so much better than the '59.
I do like all those little windows in the roof though.

James: I have never even been in the driver's seat of a Bay; but I find it

I average 4 conversations a week about my Bay. I was dropping of some
recyclables and the people that were supposed to be helping me cart the stuff
in were just gawking at the inside asking me all kinds of questions. Another
guy in line asked me how much so I told him 12k he said ok. I realized it's
time to up my asking price after looking on The Dramba.
I'd never sell but I'll raise it to 15k just to keep people from giving me
their business card LOL.
Besides, I drive both and I have to admit Bays are more fun to drive : )

Sammie, Monetary value? So dollars over sense? As in the sense of love. I
challenge you to drive around in Donner and see how much more love my Bay gets
than any Spilt I know of. Hey James pipe in here., you have experience with

I would say that the one with more value is the one who wins the hearts of
others in an instant. Love is worth more than money any day.
