Well, the adjuster just left and wrote me a check for $2,500.That includes 2 new chrome bumpers with impact strips ( $400.00) (only one bumper was messed up and the impact strips were crappy to begin with) two reflectors with housing (my est.$40.00) 1 new Hancook tire $50.00) a dog leg ($106.00) new front door ($275) and 22.5 hours labor plus paint. Hope I can get it done for less. $300 of that is for a rental car for 10 days.

I told the guy I wanted their shop to do it (because they always low ball you when the cut a check) but they won't work on anything older than '82.

I am gonna check out Jay in Ennis. The guy in Arlington never called back.

Robert is Robert.  I personally would not give him a VW to restore and I would not give him one to do mechanical work on.  However, all the cars I have seen that they did the paint and body work was really good.

...so it was Friday the 13th and some A-hole came out of a topless bar parking lot on NWHWY in the driving rain and proceeded to cause a 4 car 1 Bus collision and left the scene. I was the last vehicle to be hit and if I had left work 5 seconds earlier I wouldn't be typing this email.

I'll be out $250 for the deductible. It could be worse. I only got un-insured driver coverage 9 days earlier because of the miscreants I was driving next to made me nervous on the way to Irving each day - thank God. Anyway the entire driver's side of my bus was scraped by car number 4 and even messed up my brand new front chrome bumper. Anyway I don't want to take it to their choice of body shop, so any recommendations? Thanks!
