Denis: Restaurant and store are about 2 miles away from farm. Nearest motel
is about 8 miles away. From Piney Woods RV Park restaurant and motel are
walking distance away.

Katrina: Sorry I haven't gotten back to you. Paradise was no paradise. Not
very pleasing, rates much too high for what you get, in fact I don't think I
would want to stay there if it were free. Good points are that it does have a
small lake and is relatively close to the show site (about 2 miles.) There is
another rv park in Nac that is about 4 miles from the show site that is just
open field with hookups that is along side the service rd on NW loop Piney
woods RV park #936-560-1287. No real asthetics, just flat ground with no trees
but is within walking distance of a good restaurant. I did drive up to Camp
Tonkawa and take a look around since it had been awhile since I had been there.
Looks pretty nice, rolling terrain with lots of trees and they do have
facilities like showers bath etc. Disadvantage is that it is about 17 miles
from the show site and not near anything. Did not investigate the one you
found on Rayburn because it is a long way away (maybe as
much as 50 miles but would have to map it to be sure.) And of course there is
Mission Tejas State park where you guys camped 2 years ago. Another
possibikity is my farm which is about 6 miles out of town and about 8 miles
from the show site. Would make a good place to camp. Water and electricity
are available but we would have to rent a port a potty for those who do not
like to use trees and bushes. It's about 2 miles from a restaurant and stores.
Big advantage is that it's free. Disadvantage is that you might have to watch
where you step since there are cattle on the place. If you and Dan want to
take a day and come to Nac we can go look at all of the possibilities. Or if
you want more info out of me just let me know. Personally I think Murray would
look just fine camping out at the farm known affectionally as "the old volks
home."
