Bus boys web site says:
211-698-003F Drum Hardware Kit, Rear Bus/Pickup 71-79 NLA
(I think the 79 should read 72 or should be 71 only )
Wolfsburg West shows:
http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=211698003a
I have a "A" kit with springs like in the picture, I have a 71 spring (broken) and they are different.
Bus Depots shows this:
http://www.busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=17178R
I don't see a spring like I need in the picture.

I asked Denis to call Way Out because I thought Derick might have some or know the part number for a generic brake return spring. And be willing to tell Denis what the number was, I think they are buddies. I went to a local car repair shop with a brake hardware supply cabinet, there was a picture of a spring like the one I need, but none in his drawer. He did not act like he wanted to order them for me.

Have you done this conversion to 72 and up brakes?
I have access to some later models, what all do I need?
Backing plates, cylinders, shoes, hardware. Do I need hard lines and e brake cables?

Terry can just go out in the back yard and tell me the difference.............

We will do all in our power to make T@P.

It's tough for a 71. Best thing to do is upgrade to 72-up bay rears to avoid the problem.

VW was famous for "one year" or " six month only" stuff

Dan and Kat STILL don't have power at home and got power at his work just today. They are still living with a generator. He is cranky. I think that he is driving around following and yelling at electric company trucks.

They may not make T@P.

Besides all the other problems, he needs 1971 ONLY brake shoe springs for their Bay bus.. I will call Wayout Salvage, but I think, maybe some of us might have them.

Help if you can. I certainly will miss them if they don't make it.
