Amen brother! I also think there needs to be an agreement on the
definition of certain words.
Restored - As original with OG parts where possible.
OG - Original German OEM VW parts - VW, Bosch, Hella, SWF, Sigla,
Delog, ZF, etc. - NOT cheap Wang Fu repops.
Original Paint - From the factory paint and it implies there is still
a significant amount of paint left.
Patina - Faded, weathered, but reasonably solid and straight
original. Does not mean severly rusted, wrecked, beat, and worn-out
turd.
Rebuilt - Completely disassembled, cleaned, and component parts
refurbished or replaced as nessary.
Anyone want to refine these or add others?
