The East Texas VEE-DUB Club is not having our Nacogdoches VW show this year.
HOWEVER, we are sponsoring the annual bus campout in Mission Tejas State Park
on March 24,25,26. This is one of the nicest State Parks in East Texas and
should have all the dogwoods in full bloom at the time of the campout. So mark

Want to have a greatexperience camping in your VW bus in the East Texasforest
among hundreds of blooming dogwoods? The East Texas VEE-DUB Club is hosting a
great camping weekend at Mission TejasState Park located in Weches, TX. This
park is on State Highway 21approximately 20 miles east of Crockett.
Official bus camping isFriday and Saturday. Weekend activitiesare still in
the planning stages; but we are planning a chili/gumbo cook off forFriday
night, a Saturday lunch time cruise to a BBQ restaurant in Crockett anda visit
to David Blades VW restoration shop, Saturday night dinner is still inthe
planning stages, and a raffle to be held Sunday morning before the
bussesdepart. T-shirts for the event will beavailable only on a pre-order
basis for $15.
Trophies for best busses;best camp site, bus least likely to make it home, and
best chili/gumbo. Costs for all this: Registering your bus $10,$2.00 per
person per day for day use fee payable to the park ranger, and acamping fee
payable to Shirley Clark. Camping fee will depend upon number of busses that we
have but should beapproximately $9 per bus.
We are limited by space toapproximately 30 busses so get your reservation in
