Yes, I have seen that, too. I think that if you do everything as told and buy
everything you're told, you will spend a gajillion dollars on your bus and not
afford to go anywhere in it.

I still have no electricity. It is beginning to get me down.

I can just picture this duck with one eye hanging onto the wiper blades while
driving down the freeway. AFLAC
I have seen other bus's with safari's and they had what looked like a bullet
covering the wiper shaft. I guess they just put the old wipers back on when it
rains.
I sent Steve an email and I got the internet price plus shipping. I plan on
calling him tomorrow.

(Shouting over the generator. No electricity, Day 34) I have replaced
Murray's wiper blades with ones from the '68 Ghia. Perfect windshield length
for a '63 Splitty. They aren't vintage, but they work a hell of a lot better. I
also only have a driver's side wiper. I rarely have passengers and it takes a
bunch of stress off wiper motor, so it runs much faster. You are supposed to
install a one eyed duck and some wiper pivots. The purpose is to get the
windshield wipers out of the way so that you can open the Safaris. I just push
the regular ones down out of the way.

Did you talk to Steve yet?

      Great,
What does everyone do about wiper blades, do you need an extension?
My door seals are in good shape but if I remove my louvered camper
windows should I replace the rubber seals on them? They look pretty good too,
no cracks.

CIP sells them. Like $18 each. Easy to find. I dont know much
about splits, but on bays, the rear drums have ridges, and do not allow the
wheel to lay flat on the hub. Spacer is only about 1/4" thick. Sounds like an
awsome plan for the bus.

That is so cool!
I've decided on the polished empi 5s and the stainless safari's. My
goal is
a two tone white and dove blue.
So I need some kind of spacer for the rear wheels? Who makes them?
