We are glad you made it home in one piece. oleblue ----- Original Message ----- From: Denis Dodson To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, December 25, 2009 7:06 PM Subject: [tcb] Home from the even more frozen North We are home now. We went to Kansas City for Christmas instead of dealing with impossible air travel. We picked a city near enough to be easy but far enough to be different Last night, for entertainment we sat in our hotel room and ate fancy cheese and fruit and smoked fish and hot bread and watched, through our window, people coming in to the hotel looking like refugees. It was a blizzard. Winds of 50 miles an hour and sleet and snow blowing horizontally. It would blow UNDER your clothes, push your coat up and get under sweaters and all there was no defense, so people did that walk where one arm was in front of their face as they fought against the wind to get from the car to the door. This morning we loaded the truck (thank God we were in the truck) and four wheeled it past the stuck cars in the hotel drive way and plowed through three foot snowbanks to the highway. We only slid in the ice on the freeway once, but the highway from KC all the way to the Arkansas border was littered with cars off the side and in the median. Here at home I did a scary slide down the driveway road (Psycobilly people know where I am talking about) and found about 4" of snow here. Happy New Year all you clowns. Go Ducks in the Rose Bowl and time to get ready for the foolishness that is BULLI GRAS!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message.
