Thanks Sammie, I had spoken to him prior to buying my Bus. He knows his stuff. --- On Mon, 1/4/10, sammie smith <bugcollections@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: sammie smith <bugcollections@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [tcb] Re: Hirschmann Red Tip Antenna To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Monday, January 4, 2010, 10:02 AM James: Don't know if the photo will help or not but I have sent via the list a Kodak Gallery image of Peter Albarian's 23 that sort of shows how the antenna works with his safaris. His is mounted on the left, protrudes left at about a 45 degree angle and then is vertical. The initial bend allows it to miss the safaris. If you want to e-mail him his address is pcalbr@xxxxxxxxxxx He used to be on the list but is no longer. He lives in San Antonio and is a guru bus authority. The other safari friendly antennas have 2. I suppose this one mounts further to the side so that it runs up the the center of the "A" pillar? Does anyone know of any pics, I searched the Samba already --- On Mon, 1/4/10, sammie smith <bugcollections@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: sammie smith <bugcollections@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [tcb] Re: Hirschmann Red Tip Antenna To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Monday, January 4, 2010, 8:35 AM They are rare and expensive. --- On Mon, 1/4/10, James Dwan <james_dwan_2000@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: James Dwan <james_dwan_2000@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: [tcb] Hirschmann Red Tip Antenna To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Monday, January 4, 2010, 8:09 AM Are these rare and desirable? The one I found is rather expensive but I have safaris and a Sapphire 1 so i need an antenna. I could rent a one bedroom apt for a month for what this one costs... James
