Hello All,
Bastrop is in the running for a $100,000 grant from Coca Cola. The park that
receives the most votes as of July 15 (this Sunday!) will receive the grant.
You can vote as many times as you want, and if you happen to be in the Bastrop
area in the next few days, you can also log in via Foursquare and submit 100
votes once an hour. The information can be found here:
http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/state-parks/bastrop/vote-for-bastrop. The page
includes information about the grant, a link to the voting page, and
information on how to download an use the Foursqaure app. To vote, click on the
livepositively.com link, click the 'vote' tab, and search for Bastrop on the
map. I just submitted 10 votes in just a couple minutes, it's easy and quick.
Bastrop is currently in 11th place, but if we can get the word out quickly
enough, who knows how many votes they can earn in the next few days. I
encourage all of you to forward this email and spread the word, so Bastrop can
receive a much-needed grant to recover as quickly as possible!
