Here's a list of some happening soon smaller events and then some of the dates for the big must do VW happenings that will be here before we know it. Feel free to reply with info about other events, my list is just off the top of my head and by no means complete. December 2nd (Sunday) Bugfest 12 Show/Swap meet at Black Gold in Arlington. 9am-2pm. December 6th (Thursday) the Austin Air Cooler official monthly gathering which happens just as it always does on the first Thursday starting at 7:30ish at the Deep Eddy Pool parking lot. Cruise at 8:30ish to Austin Pizza on South Lamar where we hang out some more. December 9th (Sunday) the annual VOSA Christmas Cruise and Party. It begins at 2:00pm at the Pig Stand on Broadway. You can find more details at the VOSA club website: http://www.vosaclub.org/ December 14th (Friday) Shop Nite Christmas Potluck at Pierce Automotive in Converse. The monthly shop nites have faded away but these San Antonio folks want to keep up their annual Christmas Potluck. It begins at 6pm. December 20th (Thursday) the Austin Air Coolers Deerheadless White Elephant Christmas Party at Red Bud Isle. It begins at 7pm. This is truly a special event. The park has few rules so we can BBQ and bring dogs and play tunes...but last year a nice police officer informed us that we could not "occupy" the island permanently. (As the name implies, you are not allowed to bring a rotting head of a deer as a white elephant gift. Rules are no fun but once somebody did one and it was just a little too gross.) December ?26th?-??? Big Bend Trip - I don't really know the details. February 1st-3rd (Friday-Sunday morning) Bulli Gras at Galveston Island State Park. Shirley has our sites reserved, get in touch with her to reserve your spot. Her email is: vwbuslady@xxxxxxxxxxxxx March 23rd (Saturday) the Blooming Good Show in Nacogdoches. Many of those who will be attending the show will be camping that weekend at Mission Tejas State Park. April 19th-21st (Friday-Sunday) the Texas VW Classic in Fredericksburg.
