Neil, On the way up, you can spend the night in Hot Springs for not much money at the National Campground located right in Hot Springs. Nice facilities, campsites right along a creek, and steep hills surrounding everything. - really sweet. Also, some awesome BBQ to be had at McClard's in Hot Springs. Hope the job turns out to be a great one. Also, little Rock is pretty good for fast access to some awesome outdoors.
