Thanks Denis, I bought a stock style since I want to get him running. I'll
pick up the billet next week if it looks worthy. The sales guy did offer a
discount on the new part if I want it.

Jeff, it's common, but not that common. I have had very little trouble in 9
years. And that was a tightening thing. Take the one off the demo engine. Tell
them to knock off $5 begause it's a demo.

Went by A Vdub today for a new pulley and belt. According to their new parts
guy the billet pulley is the same metal on both halves. Unfotunately, he said
he sold their only one 40 minutes before I got there. He felt bad, but they
did have one mounted on a demo engine. It looked to be as good as advertised
but I didn't get to hold it.

If it lasts twice as long as the new ones it's probably worth the money. The
new ones have some spot welds, really look like they are an easy part to break.
I'll report more including who makes it, if anybody is interested.

That's a good question. I'll get to see it first. Hopefully I can go by VDub
menaña.

I may be wrong, but I believe the inner part is still steel, the same as the
others, it's just the outer part that's billet. Check that before dropping $50.

What about a billet pulley? Austin VeeDub stocks it and says they are much
better than stock. A bit pricey at $50 but maybe worth it.

Carry a extra throttle cable.I broke one two years in a row in Muskogee OK. I
figured i'd either carry a spare or change routes to Eureka Springs.I think Dan
broke one somewhere and it helped him out.
