[tcb] Generator pulley?

The generator pulley on my 1600 SP busted this weekend. Luckily I was close to
the house and got him home safely. So it's an obvious and easy repair. Is
this a common failure, so I should have an extra on hand? Also, if I had been
far from home, is this a stop in your tracks failure? Or could you drive a few
miles with out the fan?
