Well, from what is said I would assume that one of the "new" parts or one of 
the so-called good parts was not correct or breaking down.  Like rotor or 
distributor cap.

You are trying to confuse us with facts but it is quite elementary, my dear 
Watson.

Fundamentally, it is an intermittent problem so therefore a loose connection. 
It is isolated to the #4 plug so it is either a bad spark plug or spark plug 
wire, both which could be determined visually with a little effort.
