the time the Road Dogg broke down in Paul's Valley, OK...mile
marker 72 (the 2nd time it broke down at that same mile marker

Daylight FINALLY came, I got towed to Earl Mans in Ardmore and
got fixed up (pertronics issue)...

It was the Longview Show a few years ago. Terry, who
was with you and Larry? I forget.
These "hooligans" were chased out of the city park by
the local Barney Fife after "parking" in the lot. Now
three "guys" "parking" can bring
up multiple connotations so I'll leave those thoughts
to the readers.
They were planning to camp there overnight which was
incompatible I guess with a bunch of hippies hanging
out in an old bus.
Anyway after being chased out of the park they got
permission to camp out in the parking lot at Oakhill.
From the reports it was a definite riot because nobody
slept.
My sons and I came upon this motley crew the next day
and they all looked like 20 miles of bad highway. But
if you can
imagine three guys in a bus, in a parking lot and all
the stuff that Larry used to lug along too. Also
Oakhill is right off the loop so I can
imagine nobody getting much sleep regardless.
What made it truly memorable for me was Larry and
Terry going back and forth that day at the show.
Larry would quip "We need a shower."
And Terry I think said something about Snoring...
I think there was discussion about camping at the KOA
up the road but Larry said something about "I'm not
spending any money on that."
Then there was "but you could get a shower."
Then there was "But I'm not spending any money..."
I wish I'd had a tape recorder for the banter that was
going on because I think that was funnier than the
camping.

I do.. that's why I said the overriders are
crooked. The dates thing was a joke. Larry
also was famous for the Orange bay and the
Thing and the time he and Terry were chased
out if the park in longview and had to sleep
