OK.. I hope this didn't sound like I had my feelings hurt but as I read it that
is what it sounded to me... I just meant that good if I don't have to meet with
him cuz he kind of scared me... and I do find myself needing more time to do
other things with taking care of 2 grandson now. I had forgotten how much time
is taken up with a new born and how much I worry about them.
So if someone else wants to take the city manager bull by the horns ... please
do....as I feel that my only help to the cause is going to be to be a
participant...

Well then I guess I can step back since we do not need to organize any with him
as I do have other things I can do and worry about.....
So if someone wants to make contact with the city manager and lay the plan
out...
I can help the cause what ever it may be by paying my registration and showing
up.
I was not going to him for his approval... I was just going to show him (as a
courtesy) what we were up to as far as continuing the event.

I with the grace of God I have tried to stay neutral on this ,
but must interject some thoughts on this.the more city ,chief, post involvement
you have the less enjoyment you will have for your event.You run the event ,not
them , not the city , and especially the PD dept. The city manager is the man
who has the say on weather you get the park or not .We were donating to them
,not the other way around.The Post thought so much of me and Lois that they
didn't even invite us the the Post Christmas luncheon
.I guess if we had raised 11,000.00 we would have been invited?
The Police dept had no part in any of the planning ,organizing or anything
other than benefiting from the event,The closing off the roads for our cruise
and the escort or things they should do for any event in a small town.Don't be
fooled in telling you how much work and support they give you.They got paid and
it is their job..Keep it simple and keep it yours, and by that I mean all of
your and ours and not an outside group that has no interest what so ever in
what you do.

I feel some name suggestions are being taken too seriously.
they were meant as humorous and early voting supports that.
I also strongly believe that our group can come up with a name
without the supervision of a police chief.
