One thing you have to remember about electric pumps is that they are better
pushing fuel than pulling it.  Most OEM installations put the pump very
close to or inside the fuel tank and the filter afterward.

What are the concevinces of running it dry? I probably
did that when I had my gas tank out , I had some
problems coming back from Houston yesterday ,
