The rotary fuel pump from a Rabbit is for a FI engine and does not have a
built in pressure regulator. The regulator was seperate and built into the
fuel Dist.It will make way to much pressure for carbs.

What are the concevinces of running it dry? I probably did that when I had my gas tank out , I had some problems coming back from Houston yesterday ,

I am the voice of unreason. On my Megasquirt car I
have the main fuel filter

the stock location.I
have a second filter between the tank and the rotary
pump which will make
100psi.I have it reduced to 43 psi for the
electronic injectors.So I guess
it doesn't make a lot of difference as long as it is
changed on a timely
basis.Just don't run it dry.

I run a rotory fuel pump .does it make any difference if you place the fuel filter between the gas tank and pump or pump and motor?
