Just got back from a weekend trip to Fredericksburg. My wife and I went and
stayed at a bed & breakfast one block off main street for our 21 anniversary.
Really nice. Not as crowded as April, but still plenty of folks.
We saw a few old bugs on the way and one old dude in an early bay with his
golden retriever riding shotgun. Looked like they had been on the road a while.
If we don't have a cruise lined up for the Classic, Farm Road 1 around the
LBJ park is really nice. Lots of picnic spots right on the Perdenales River.
We drove the vanagon because my wife thinks it's more comfortable than her
Mazda. 504 miles round trip.
