I, too, am interested. I'm in need of a decent, reliable and reasonably-priced
T2/T4 engine!

Thank you, Cari.

I am planning to pick up the engine on Friday and then drop it off at Chuck's.
Maybe we caravan together? I hope to leave here shortly after 8am, be at the
junkyard before noon and head to Athens after lunch, thereby missing traffic as
much as possible.

PM, text or, goodness gracious, call. (So old school!) I don't have a telephone
# for you or Paul. At least maybe we can meet for lunch.

Also know I will be glad to help with your bus anyway I can.

Duncan

Duncan, don't know if you think you will have a mechanical issue or a computer
issue but you might want to talk to Kurt Troger. we went to the Munster show
last weekend and he said after he rebuilt the engine in their 78 westy and
bought a program (or whatever) to set the air sensor and all that garbage in
the newer engines it runs great. Even helped the performance of his 62 Beetle.

Thx, Sammy.

Only possible trouble be could with the ECU having learned a different driving
style (might have to use the old intake manifold) and finding the correct
position for the accelerator cable so it doesn't stall while idling.

BUT with Chuck's expertise! 'Nuff said.
