67 bus. I have replaced fuel pump, cap and fuel line. I seem to get vacuum in my tank and I don't see a place for venting. ----- Original Message ---- From: Mark Sawyer <mechmark@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, March 2, 2007 4:55:29 PM Subject: [tcb] Re: Electronic Ignition conversion No, What type of vehicle are you having problems with??? I have 8 aircooled engines and 3 watercooled Vanagon engines. not to count all the other parts. ATX BUS <atx_bus@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: Thanks for the suggestion Eric and Mark. I'll definately keep the points and conedsor, just in case. The funny thing I have noticed about these buses or probably any old car is how many parts you accumulate. When I first went to VW shows I was impressed by how many spare parts people have. I am now begining this same build to critical mas. I am sure in about 3 years or less I will have a parts war chest. ----- Original Message ---- From: Eric Woodall <eric@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, March 2, 2007 3:17:45 PM Subject: [tcb] Re: Electronic Ignition conversion Since you are putting one in, my only advice is that you carry a spare set of points and a spare condensor, because if that module goes out you're screwed. If you have spare parts you can just throw them in and be gone down the road. > I picked up some parts for my 1500 cc engine today and one of them was to > convert from points to an electronic ignition.
