When I was in Las Cruces, I visited a "collector" who said he bought everything
in the area. He said he owns several large yards full of VWs, one near

He claimed he owned "hundreds" that weren't for sale. (and laughed about that)
The other one I couldn't figure out exactly where it was, but was on the other
side of Las Cruces towards Deming. So I would guess that's him going after
another one.
The other thing to keep in mind is that rust out there is almost non-existent.
While there I saw a 69-70 Shelby roaming the night highway, dusty and loud...
