We were told by Jack Wenk(Black Gold) that the new guy running the show did this judging on purpose so not many people would want to come back, he said the crowd was too big and this would eliminate them from returning. We decided to oblige him, there's too many other good shows around. It's a shame though to see something like that show destroyed, we all remember good times when it was the show. Did anyone we know win? Sammy, Paul, Will's barn door, Paula and Rays 68? I would think Arkansas clubs could get the most votes. That's funny Ronnie we calculated profits too on the way home, I guess its all about the money. Guess we should have gone to Jerome with Mike Everett, they're giving away a bus there. _____ From: tcb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:tcb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ronnie Hughes Sent: Monday, August 29, 2005 9:06 PM To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [tcb] Re: ES judging? Each registered car had a ballot for the top three and best ghia. The top ten vote getters were put into a hat and 6 names were pulled. No classes, no class winners, just the top ten vote getters. Let's see 220 cars times $30 each, 6 trophies at about $20 each, 220 tee shirts @ $8 each, below average meal @ $4 each. $6,600 - $120 - $1760 - $880 = $3840 plus vendor space rental. Hey someone in Arkansas did make some money on a car show this weekend.
