*EAST TEXAS DOGWOOD BULI FEST KAMPIEREN*
*MARCH 24-25-26, 2017*
Want to have a great experience camping in your VW bus in the East Texas
forest among hundreds of blooming dogwoods? The East Texas VEE-DUB Club is
hosting a great camping weekend at Mission Tejas State Park located in
Weches, TX. This park is on State Highway 21 approximately 20 miles east
of Crockett.
Official bus camping is Friday and Saturday. Weekend activities are still
in the planning stages; but we are planning a chili/gumbo cook off for
Friday night, a Saturday lunch time cruise to a BBQ restaurant in Crockett
and a visit to David Blades VW restoration shop, Saturday night dinner is
still in the planning stages, and a raffle to be held Sunday morning before
the busses depart. T-shirts for the event will be available only on a
pre-order basis for $15.
Trophies for best busses; best camp site, bus least likely to make it home,
and best chili/gumbo. Costs for all this: Registering your bus $10, $2.00
per person per day for day use fee payable to the park ranger, and a
camping fee payable to Shirley Clark. Camping fee will depend upon number
of busses that we have but should be approximately $9 per bus.
We are limited by space to approximately 30 busses so get your reservation
in early. Do so by communicating via e-mail to Shirley Clark at
txvwbuslady@xxxxxxxxx or Sammie Smith at bugcollections@xxxxxxxxxxxxx.
