Glad to hear your okay. Storms like that are no fun at all. Been there! When Allicia came thru Houston years ago, the neighbors house had a tree fall in the middle of it but didn't touch ours. That was a little too close for comfort. Brian Denning <i_am_cool_fred@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: .hmmessage P { margin:0px; padding:0px } body.hmmessage { FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY:Tahoma } yep, it hit at the next exit going south or north...my exit was fine. diana just called me and said they are having to route traffic off of the interstate due to flooding though...said they are rescuing folks by boat on the service road. here's the complete story 9:30p.m. my dad calls and says are you watching the weather...i say no because i was watching the simpsons on the dvr. he says you better go to the bathroom there's a tornado coming your way. so i turn on the weather and just as i turn it on i hear dads scanner in the background going "OH SHIT I SEE IT ON ALCOA RD." that's the exit north of me. so i figure i'm in the clear. then i hear another voice saying we have a confirmed sighting at traskwood (exit south of me) so we go to the bathroom with the dogs...i take care of some paper work while in there. the sirens are going off the dogs are pissed because they spend all day in the bathroom and don't want to be in there at night. 10:15 rolls around. sirens off no more storms but wait...the sirens go off again...another one sighted at turtle creek (south of me) back to the bathroom we go the dogs are growling, i think crap this is it. nothing so we go to bed around 11:00p.m. 11:30pm i'm just about asleep diana is dreaming about being a weather girl (that's what she told me anyway) and the sirens go off so we turn on the tv and sure enough "if you live in the benton area take cover immediately" so off to the bathroom we go again. the dogs are fighting this time. we sit there my mom calls and checks on us my dad then calls and says take cover (duh). midnight comes in. and i say screw it i want it to die in my sleep let's go to bed. diana just called me it's 8:25 she's moved 6 feet in the past 40 minutes due to the flooding that lies ahead of her...i drove through the tornado damage south of us this morning lots of trees down. it came real close but no cigar (thank god) thanks for being concerned guys. we're fine, let's just pray for the trailer park that exploded in the tornado last night and has left 60 homes on fire with live ammo going off amongst the blaze.
