The axles should move in & out, but no problems if they don't unless you want them out. If the bearings run quiet and smooth, put it back together and run it. ________________________________ From: shirley hall <vwbuslady@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: tcb <tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thu, November 22, 2012 7:12:22 AM Subject: [tcb] Re: Axel stubs rear Talking about a bay. I mean in and out. The 72 axel hubs would move when I put the rear drums on. These do not move. I know that when castle nut goes on when drums are done that torque will keep the stubs from moving. ________________________________ From: sammie smith <bugcollections@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; To: <tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; Subject: [tcb] Re: Axel stubs rear Sent: Thu, Nov 22, 2012 3:57:31 AM I'm with Terry. Do you mean in and out or that they will not turn? Also, are we talking redux boxes or are you working on a bay? ________________________________ From: "theresabuckner@xxxxxxx" <theresabuckner@xxxxxxx> To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wed, November 21, 2012 9:04:21 PM Subject: [tcb] Re: Axel stubs rear They need to spin , but not needed that they go in & out ?? Current stubs are frozen in place. If I knock loose afraid that would harm bearing that appear good. Castle nut will tighten stubs in place. Is it a problem that stubs not moving?
