I feel your pain. My wife's car lost a wheel bearing at Thanksgiving. I ended up putting the car on jack stands and removing most of the rear suspension to get the housing to a machine shop. My driveway was scattered with broken tools. Then the store sold me the wrong parts. Good luck. Get two Magic Markers and have two colors. Get some sparkley buttoms and be the envy of everybody at the Food Court at the Mall, why don'tcha! I got real problems! I went back to replace the seals and make sure about a spacer on the rear axles and I CAN NOT get the %#!&%*%##! bearing off the axle. I am on my second day of beating, squeezing, heating and swearing at the %#@!&**%^#@ bearing and it will not come out far enough for me to get behind it to pry it off. I have disconnected the axle tube at the tranny so the axle tube should slide of of the axle. And it would except that the #@^&%@@^%& bearing wont come off. I have taken my 4 lb sledge and taken baseball swings at the part that holds the shock on and that won't move it. I have used my little MAPP gas Bernzamatic and heated the bearing at the axle and that won't help (I don't own a welding set up with a real torch). I have gone to the Autozone and borrowed a gear puller and attached it to the shock holder part and the threaded part and put the air hammer socket to it and it will not give. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO PULL THE TRANNY SO THAT I CAN TAKE OUT THE FRIGGIN' AXLE AND PUT IT IN A PRESS!!! I can't think of any other ways to get this off, I guess my next move is to rent or buy a real torch to make enough heat to free this #@^%*! thing. If anybody has any ideas and you can take your minds off of what you are wearing to the friggin' Prom, I'd like to hear it. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
