Emily and I survived the storm just fine. we have minor roof damage to both houses. The Tomball house has 1 sheet metal panel bent up. Lost a little bit of the wooden fencing around the property and has a lot of tree branches to clean up. The cypress house has a few shingles missing and a large tree branch down in the back yard but no broken windows or damage of any kind. Both store rooms survived without any damage at all. accross the drive from one of the storage rooms there "were" storerooms full of boats and furnishings. The boats are still there but everything else is gone. buildings and all. All and all, Emily and I feel very blessed for the minimal amount of damage we recieved. we were without power for about 36 hours and that was all. we hope that everyone else was as lucky as we were and offer any assistance to anyone that needs our help. About 1 AM we got rain and wind like you wouldn't believe. Usually whatever wind is happening in the area, our bluff maximizes and last night was as loud as I've ever heard it. There is a house up on Nob Hill next to the store who has, or had, three tall oaks in the front yard. Now all three are on top of his house. The wind pulled them up. It didn't break them, it pulled them up, rootballs and all, and laid them on his house. I had a 10x20' canopy that I was using to work on Murray outside sometimes. It was tied to 4 cinder blocks. Now it looks like a wad of trash paper. The cinder blocks are all over the yard, as far as 20'. It flung them? Get more out of the Web. Learn 10 hidden secrets of Windows Live. Learn Now
