I replaced the oil in The Ghia years (and years) ago and had no problem finding the GL4, I guess those days are gone. I was tracking that GL5 had additives that were bad (corrosive) to our gearboxes, is this something that “they” fixed with the newer synthetics? Is Royal Purple a synthetic?
