Sammie, My friend from Florida says the No Dough show is great and tries to get
me to go all the time. Not only is it too close to the Texas Classic it is too
close to the east coast. We did the Bug Jam in November and 1100 plus miles one
way was enough for awhile. Going in your Baja is like going in a Cadillac, do
both coast in a split bus and then you've done something. Let me know if you
get any info on the 2014 Treffen.

You are on my list Kate for the Treffen.  I am definitely going unless
something drastic happens.  Also Ray and Paula Decker say they are going for
sure driving their bus.

Sammie and Steve,
I am planning on doing the Treffen drive this year in early August. I would
also be interested in considering the Colorado thing, but for sure the drive on
the coast. I already am budgeting and have it on the calendar. I would be
interested in driving out there with you guys.
Thanks,
Kate Jenkins

Hey Steve:  Sometimes great minds work on the same track.  Two biggies that we
are planning:  No Dough Show in Daytona which is the weekend of Apr 4-6.  That
may be too close to the Classic for you, but having been to Daytona before for
a VW event; it is really great and have heard nothing but good comments on the
No Dough Show.  Then there is the Treffen in late July and/or early August.  I
would strongly recommend this happening for anyone who has never been.  Not
sure what their plans are for the Treffen in 2014 though.  They may be looking
at changing up the format for a trip other than down the Pacific coast.  Given
a choice between the Cal Classic and the Treffen I would pick the Treffen.
Would be nice to do both; but that's a lot of driving to the west coast.

So; my/our plans are to try and make both coasts in one year in the Baja.  Will
it happen? Maybe.

Just going over plans for 2014 and wondered if anyone has any desire to get
your VW on the road. It is always fun to hang together as a group at the shows
or events. It is about time for another trip out to the VW Classic which is
usually second weekend in June or we think that the Treffen might be fun around
first of August. We are also planning a camping weekend in Lyons CO. August
15-17. Anyone is welcome to join us but it is a music festival where we camp
with friends that we have met from all over the US.

Let us know if you have any interest at all so that we can make plans (some of
us still work for a living). We are also looking at Buses by the Bridge but
that may be pretty cold, Jan 16, and Jerome.

Steve
