Shirley Hall Clark is looking for some 15 " bus wheels for her single cab ( she wants to sell it to me for $ 1500 & I am thinking about it ) terry -----Original Message----- From: sammie smith <bugcollections@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: tcb <tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wed, Mar 28, 2012 5:29 pm Subject: [tcb] Re: 15" Crowsfoot, 12/58 Lemmerz In non-bent condition needing media blasting and the clips replaced, about $25 is a fair swap meet price. I have bought a lot of them and never paid more than $25 and as little as $5. I find them at almost any large swap meet. Nathan, the guy from Wichita Kansas that makes almost almost all of the swap meets usually has some. I would almost bet you $5 against a dollar that there will be some in Fredericksburg. Heck, we may even have some at the Nac show. I did have 9. But let 5 go with my DC that I sold to Antonio and sold the remaining 4 to James Dwan, a couple of which were restored with new clips, epoxy primed and painted silver white and never mounted after restore. I have a hard time finding 15 '' bus wheels . I have had to share any extra 15" with my brethren already . Sammie bring out your barn full . Whats a fair price for standard 15" bus wheels ??? terry -----Original Message----- From: sammie smith <bugcollections@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: tcb <tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wed, Mar 28, 2012 7:15 am Subject: [tcb] Re: 15" Crowsfoot, 12/58 Lemmerz Well you didn't tell us they were powdercoated. A "fair" price to your bus brethren would be $35 each plus the cost of powdercoating. ( I forgot I had them powercoated white , & still wrapped in the protective stuff ) This may make them harder to sell . ??? terry -----Original Message----- From: sammie smith <bugcollections@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: tcb <tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tue, Mar 27, 2012 6:31 pm Subject: [tcb] Re: 15" Crowsfoot, 12/58 Lemmerz Crows foot wheels are not correct for a 56. Now I find out it's a December 1958, crowsfoot wheel made by Lemmerz. 4 of the clips are missing. I aired it up and the really old tire leaks around the seal, but he wheel appears to be fine. Anyway, if anyone is interested I'll bring it to Nac this weekend or Fredericksburg in a few weeks.
