Good morning,
I am sharing some important information from both the City of Tallahassee and
Leon County Building Officials from this morning's GA meeting.  If you have

City of Tallahassee:
The City of Tallahassee is experiencing issues with the permitting system. So
the site may be intermittent when attempting to print documents and make
payments. Please call 891-7001 option 2 if you need immediate assistance.

The Florida Building Code-Existing Section 706.7 requires existing structures
with wood roof decks to be renailed (or proper number of fasteners confirmed)
and secondary water barrier installed on structures that are reroofed. This
applies to all existing structures (residential and commercial) compared to the
previous code which only required this on site built single family detached
homes. Over the next couple of months the City of Tallahassee will be adding
these additional inspections to the reroofing process.
