TAS Outreach at Flaming Geyser Park - Saturday, May 27th! Event Times:
9am - 3pm
We were able to do some pre-setup on Wednesday which takes a little
pressure off of the early morning setup. We still need to set up pop-ups
and outside tables.
*May 27th, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (setup starting at 8 am, everything ready to
go by 8:50am)*
- we can work in shifts, it would be great to have 5 folks outside with
scope and the sun spotter and 2 volunteers inside. Let us know if you can
come and when you are available!
You will need a WA State Park Pass
You will be able to get fairly close with your telescope to unload, then
you will need to park your car in one of the standard parking spots.

*Food-wise there is nothing nearby so please bring your own snacks, water,
etc!!*
*Outside*: Solar Viewing, we need ~4 solar scopes! If the weather is
bad, we need at least one solar scope and a regular telescope inside for
show and tell.
*Inside*: large screen demonstrations of Stellarium, TAS and NASA/ESA/ETC
image gallery. Inside Kids area: Rotating - Paper-tape scale of the solar
system, make a sundial, get ready for solar eclipses, and invisible light!
