I replaced the HD in my Tango1 with an SSD about a year or so ago. It was
quite an involved process that yielded no speed improvements. But I'm
certain that it is running cooler and quieter.
After trying a couple of brands I got the Samsung EVO to work. I had to
get an adapter to bridge the old ribbon cable to the SSD. There were other
hurdles to navigate which I have since forgotten.
At the time I considered upgrading to a more modern motherboard but now
that there is no support to help traverse these waters I think I will leave
well enough alone.
I love my Tango with Pyramix. Has anyone used it successfully with Pro
Tools?
