Hi All,
I cleaned the side of the touchscreen with a compressed air can to solve the
touchscreen issues..
First it didn't solve anything.. Then i turned the Tango on it's side: the
right side up (which had unresponsive touch)
Like this i could blow the air upwards in the edges of the screen and i
could get closer while keeping the aircan upward (important!)
And behold, it works again!
So thanks for the help everyone!!!
I have one more question about the firmware (i have a Tango 1)
I am on firmware version 2.4.1.10 (2010.05.10)
I run the latest Consolesoft 3.3.0.18 (2015.05.20) and Netsmart 3.3.0.0
(2015)
The firmware dates from 2010, so i was wondering if anyone had a more recent
version and what the upgrades are?
Or is the 2010 firmware version the latest one for the Tango 1?
Thanks again for the help!

Hey,
I will clean the bezel area gently with a compressed air can to clean out the
dust..maybe that will fix the problem!
Another thing:
I am reprogramming the Tango buttons because they seem to have been reset..
I have only one problem with the Arc Modifier buttons: when i press mute and
touch the arc it mutes the channels i touch..but i can't wipe the Arc anymore
like before (to quickly mute a lot of channels)..
Is this a setting in the configuration menu somewhere?
Does anybody know the answer to this?
Thanks! Jan

Jan,
If you do want to check the Graphic properties make sure you have a mouse and
keyboard hooked up to your Tango, Please follow directions on the Tango
Service manual (download dropbox link below)
All the information for graphics and touch screen are from pages 3 to 16
I hope this helps

I am getting no response on the far right of the screen..
In the attached screenshot you can see it..
here the story goes:
1. i thought: let's try another consolesoftware version (2.6) Maybe
that'll fix it.. So i downgraded from 3.2 to 2.6
2. the issue was still there so i thought: let's go back to consolesoftware
version 3.2 right? !!!but the install button was too far to the right side
of the screen and i couldn't touch it (the cursor would't go more to the
right than in the picture)
3. eventually i somehow managed to tap the install button..i don't know how
but it clicked (i was touching with 2 hands on the screen i remember..1
finger at the far left side of the screen and one on the right..i was trying
and getting pissed at my Tango you know ☺..and suddenly it worked) So now
i am back on consolesoft 3.2..but the screen is still unresponsive on the
far right
So maybe it is a hardware problem..maybe software..i don't know
I will try tomorrow to clean the edges with a compressed air can (very
gently) and see if it is maybe just a dirt problem
But maybe you could tell me more about the window configuration thing?
Thanks again for the help!

Jan,
When you say unresponsive, is it not recognize you touching it at all or
does the pointer go to a different location of the screen which is what I
was having,
If you're getting no response at all in a particular area of your screen I
am afraid it is not software but hardware issue.

Hey Tony,
yes i tried to calibrate..didn't work! And it was hard to touch the 2
touchpoint on the right side of the screen because it is unresponsive..It
kept on showing me a sequence of 4 touch points on each side and 1 in the
middle..this kept on going until i stopped touching and then it went out of
calibration mode and back to the menu screen

Hi Jan,
I had the the same problem. It help if you clean the dirts on the border
under the frame with press air. It's enough if you use can with air
pressure.
Hope this help you.

Thanks Ludger Mias!
I have learned now that you first have to run the Netsmart installer,
and this installs the Logic Control bundle (this is the SmartAV control
surface plugin that makes the communication between Logic and the Tango)
in the Library (Macintosh HD//Library/Application Support/MIDI Device
Plug-ins).. Also you have to have read and write permissions of the MIDI
Device Plug-ins folder, if not then logic will not see the plugin in the
control surface setup window..
Also important is to run the Netsmart and Consolesoftware in sets.. so
if you install Netsmart 3.0 then you go with Consolesoft 3.0
Do not mix them as this can give bugs in ly experience
Now i have another problem:
the far right part of the Tango touchscreen is unresponsive..
You can see in the attached screenshot what i mean: the cursor is at the
border where i can touch..more to the right the screen is unresponsive,
to the left everything is fine.. I don't know how to fix this..anybody
has experience with this?

Hello All,
I have a Smart AV Tango 1 that i used for 3 years with Logic 9 on Snow
Leopard..
Now i have upgraded my computer to El Capitan with Logic X and i am
trying to get the Tango to work again!
I need to install the Smart AV Logic module (in Logic's control
surfaces setup window).
When i go to 'logic-preferences-control surfaces-setup-new-install'
i remember that the Smart AV control surface plugin was there when i
did it when i was in Snow Leopard, but now it's no more in the list
(in both logic 9 and logic X)..so i think a have to install this file
manually..
I tried to go to the SmartAV website, but it's gone.. I have backups
for the consolesoftware and firmware and netsmart, so that's fine.. I
am looking only for the control surface plugin (the Smart AV Logic
control surface module) so i can install it for Logic 9 and logic X.
Also when i google it i can't seem to find anything..
I attached some screenshots to make it clear..
Can somebody help me with this?
Many thanks,
Jan Willems
