Dear Josie
Very many thanks for putting some leaflets in the post.
I have just returned from the count for The Highland Council (counted today)
where had our first ever Green councillor elected, Pippa Hadley in Badenoch &
Strathspey (multi-member ward (4 councillors) using the proportional
representation system of Single Transferable Vote). In Orkney Islands Council
(part of our Highlands & Islands Green Party branch) we also had the first
party political councillor elected today, Steve Sankey for the Greens.
Once again, very many thanks.
Leslie

Hello Leslie,
I've just put in the post 2 leaflets for you. They are for Sandra Bell who
stood in Thornton Dale & the Wolds and Martin Brampton who stood for the
Kirkbymoorside division. Both were in the North Yorkshire County Council
elections (4th May 2017)
Kind regards,
Josie Downs (election agent for Thirsk & Malton Green Party)

Dear Fellow Greens
I am a member of both the Scottish Green Party and the Green Party of England
and Wales. Most recently I attended the 2017 Congress of Global Greens in
Liverpool.
Being an Honours graduate in Politics and Economics of Glasgow Caledonian
University, I have a particular interest in British elections (Westminster,
Holyrood, local government, European, etc). Consequently, I have amassed, over
the years, a constantly growing collection of election literature dating as far
back as the 1929 General Election. The Green Party part of my collection dates
back to the Ecology Party at the 1979 General Election.
I would be more than pleased if you would be able to supply me with copies of
any election leaflets produced for the council elections in your area on
Thursday. My collection is entirely paper-based and I do not use electronic
items. Therefore, the best way would be to post a paper leaflet to the address
at the bottom. Ultimately, I would envisage gifting my collection to either a
university library or political archive.
Best wishes for your election
Yours Most Sincerely
Leslie
