Steve, Of course someone installing Talks v4 will also install the Nokia TTS, which although not perfect, means that they can then work through the menus you describe to unlock signed applications only, so it's fine to do it yourself if you cannot see, just remember to do Talks first. On all the E phones, this is set to Signed Only. You have to change this to All first before you can install the synthesiser. Talks is OK to install, but the synth will give this problem, because it is not signed. If you install the nokia application installer that will come on a disk with the phone (you'll probably have to install pc sweet at the same time), you can enter on a sys file, press enter again on the confirmation box and then the install screen will come up on the phone. From then on you have to do the install from the e71, but all you have to do is press key 1 (Top left) to ok all the message boxes - the phone beeps when a new one comes up. Note: When you plug the usb into the e71, you'll have to press the center square button in order to activate usb mode - its a bit hard to describe but you'll know what I mean when the phones in front of you. On an unrelated note, hello craig, I had no idea you were on here.
