justin without wishing to sound unhelpful, I can think of little to add other
than read my reply carefully, as that is what precisely you need to do. you
don't need to uninstall talks you just turn it off.

Of course you can uninstall TALKS if you feel so minded, it's up to you.

Cheers

Graham

Hi, thanks but that doesn't really answer my question as to whether I
"should" or "can" unistall a previous version of talks with the intention of
upgrading. I'm aware of how to upgrade as, I've studied the txt file. Just
that it doesn't make it clear whether previous version should be removed, or
not.

I know that with PC software it can depend on the manufactorer. However,
Nuance doesn't state which it is to be.

Thanks for you're reply, it is appriciated.

no. just turn talks off by executing the Talks Off command. this may be
in the menus or may be in talks settings itself depending on which version of
Talks you have. Talks 2.5 or later has talks off in Talks settings, otherwise
the command should be in the phone menu somewhere.

    regards

      Hi everyone,

Just a quick question about upgrading my version of talks here.

When upgrading talks, do need to unistall the current version of talks on
my mobile?
Or, is it a case of leaving my current version of talks on there and the
upgrade will just install on top of the old version.

Only thing is, I have braille drivers on my current installed version of
talks that I don't actually need. So, if I can unistall talks and put an new
version on (I have the serial number recorded else where) clean, that would
great.

I thought i better write to list and check first before I do anything.

      Thanks for any advice.

      all the best,

      Justin
